Let’s learn together!

24. May 12:00 - 25 May 14:00   |   Location: Kongresscentret Paasitorni, Helsinki / Finland

Nordplus programme: Nordplus • Nordic Languages

Finland will organise a conference on mobility, Nordic languages and the Nordplus programme as part of its Nordic Presidency programme.

Nordic countries have a long tradition in educational and cultural cooperation, which has always been a central part of this cooperation. The Nordplus programme family plays a major role in the cooperation. It provides funding for Nordic cooperation between schools, vocational institutes, higher education institutions, and institutions of general, vocational and liberal adult education.

The two-day conference on mobility, Nordic languages and the Nordplus programme provides a forum for disseminating information and sharing experiences, working together in thematic groups and presenting opportunities on offer in Nordic and Baltic countries for internationalisation in education. Special attention will be focused on the role and possibilities of the Nordic languages in this context.

The conference is organised by the Ministry of Education and Culture, the Centre for International Mobility CIMO, the National Board of Education and the Nordic Council of Ministers in collaboration. The participation is free of charge, but requires a registration in advance by 13 May. The registration is to be done on the website of the Finnish ministry: www.minedu.fi.

The languages on Day 1 are Scandinavian and Finnish, with simultaneous interpretation also into English. The language on Day 2 and in the workshops (except the one on the Nordplus Junior and Language programme) is English.
