Under the Nordplus Horizontal Programme 53 applications have been submitted. Nordplus Horizontal is a new program that seeks to encourage cross-sectoral cooperation, and the result of the application round is considered to be good based on the number and the quality of the applications submitted.
In the received applications, Denmark and Norway have the highest number of coordinating institutions, followed by Lithuania. However, when regarding all participating institutions, we see that there is a high level of activity also in the other countries.
Since the Baltic countries are new in Nordplus, it is pleasing to see that their participation is well represented among the projects. 17 of the 53 applications have a Baltic coordinator and almost 2/3 of the applications have both Nordic and Baltic participants.
The budget for Nordplus Horizontal for this year is 891 173 euro, and the total amount applied for was 3 774 422 euro. This means that the competition was very hard and only the very best projects were accepted for funding.
Out of the 53 received applications, the Programme Committee has decided to fund 21 projects. You can see an overview over the funded projects here.
