Under the Nordplus Adult Learning Programme 105 applications have been submitted. The interest for Nordplus Adult was clearly increased due to the new possibilities of the Nordplus Framework Programme and Nordic-Baltic cooperation is clearly relevant for many players within the field of adult education.
The circle of this round’s applicants reflects the big variety of players within the field of adult education. Traditional adult education institutions, such as adult education centres, folk high schools etc., as well as companies, research institutions and others are represented amongst the applicants and partners.
Looking at the coordinating organisations, applicants from Finland and Sweden are as in previous years still the most active in Nordplus followed by Denmark and then Lithuania and Estonia.
Applicants are mainly interested in the following topics: validation; development of skills and competencies of staff; second language teaching, integration, socio-cultural skills; cultural heritage, handicraft; consumer education, as well as climate and environment.
The Programme Committee decided to fund 22 mobility applications and 21 network and project applications. You can see an overview over the funded networks and projects here, and for mobility here.
Due to the Nordic Council of Ministers' secretariat's decision not to have a deadline, before the online application and reporting system ARS is fully operational again, the autumn deadline for the Nordplus Adult Learning Programme is cancelled.
Next deadline for the Nordplus Adult Learning Programme is planned to be March 1st 2009.
Nordic institutions of higher education may apply for funding to develop joint Master's programmes. Each project may be awarded up to 1 000 000 DKK. The deadline for applications is 14. September 2012
