Call for proposals 2013
The Nordic Council of Ministers’ programme Nordplus 2012-2016 makes funds available for cooperation within education in the Nordic and Baltic areas. Application deadline is 1 March 2013.
Nordplus application round autumn 2012
Schools and pre-schools, folk high schools and other institutions and organisations within the field of adult learning, and institutions within the field of Nordic languages, are invited to apply to Nordplus for the application round autumn 2012. This is a limited application round for Nordplus Junior, Nordplus Adult and Nordplus Nordic Language.
Increasing Interest in Nordic Cooperation
Over 700 applications were submitted to Nordplus this spring, an increase of 17 per cent compared to 2011.
Four out of five Nordplus sub-programmes have received more applications this year than last. The Baltic countries are more active participants than ever. These are some of the findings from this year’s pile of applications.
New call for proposals in the Nordic Master Programme
Nordic institutions of higher education may apply for funding to develop joint Master's programmes. Each project may be awarded up to 1 000 000 DKK. The deadline for applications is 14. September 2012
Nordplus – new programme period from 2012
The Nordic Council of Ministers has extended the Nordplus programme for the period of 2012-2016. The call for proposals is now available, and the application deadline is the 1st of March 2012.
Calls for research on welfare
Further development of the Nordic welfare model was on the agenda when the Nordic ministers of education met in Copenhagen on November 2. Tora Aasland, the Norwegian Minister of Research and Higher Education, called for programmes based on research for the education and training of staff in the health sector.
Granted Nordplus-projects in 2011
A total number of 598 applications were received in the 2011 Nordplus Framwork Programme application round for. Among these, 442 projects have been granted and will share the total sum of approximately 8 million Euros.

New cross-national adult learning projects
The result of the spring deadline for applications to the Nordplus Adult programme is published – 52 new cross-national projects are now starting up.

Nordplus now welcomes new applications with deadline 1 March 2011.
Nordplus Adult - granted preparatory visits applications
14 applications for preparatory visits were submitted to the Nordplus Adult deadline 15 October applying for a total of 63.000 euro.
The grant amount available was 30.000 euro, and 10 of the 14 applications have now been approved.
44 applications to the Nordplus adult programme now approved
The application round for the Nordplus Adult programme in the spring of 2010 is now terminated and the result is that 44 new Nordic-Baltic initiatives now can get started.
Nordic Climate Day 2010
November 11 is the date for Nordic Climate Day 2010, targeting school pupils in all the five Nordic countries. Climate issues have also been decided as an overarching priority for the Nordplus Framework Programme this year.

Crossing borders in agricultural education
Synergies within Nordic-Baltic agricultural education reinforce the cooperative environment between the two regions. After having met in Lithuania last year, coordinators of the networks NOVA and BOVA decided on a continued common effort to build international education in the field of agriculture and life sciences.
Granted Nordplus-projects
The results of the 2009 application round are now ready, and the applicants will be contacted by the chief administators of their respective Nordplus-programmes.
Information about reporting
Time for reporting?
Some of the project that started in 2008 have received an e-mail saying that it is time to submit a report. The reports should be submitted through the ARS. In the revised user guide for ARS, each step of the reporting is described.
Nordic Climate Day
The Nordic Ministers of Education have decided to establish a Nordic Climate Day 2009. The Nordic Climate Day will be launched on 11 November and will create greater awareness and knowledge about the climate, as well as active involvement of pupils, apprentices, teachers and trainers in climate matters in the light of the UN's climate summit in Copenhagen. Initiatives attached to the Nordic Climate Day may be included in applications for the Nordplus Framework Programme.

Call for proposals, handbook, and online application system will be available on www.nordplusonline.org from Monday 12th January 2009.
Still vigorous after 20 years
Nordplus Higher Education turns 20 years in 2008 and is making headway. Throughout the period, impressive 565 million DKK has been allocated through the programme.
Results of the Nordplus Horizontal application round 2008
Under the Nordplus Horizontal Programme 53 applications have been submitted. Nordplus Horizontal is a new program that seeks to encourage cross-sectoral cooperation, and the result of the application round is considered to be good based on the number and the quality of the applications submitted.
Results of Nordplus Adult application round 2008-1
Under the Nordplus Adult Learning Programme 105 applications have been submitted. The interest for Nordplus Adult was clearly increased due to the new possibilities of the Nordplus Framework Programme and Nordic-Baltic cooperation is clearly relevant for many players within the field of adult education.
Results of the application round
All applications submitted by the deadline 21 April are now being processed by the Nordplus administrators and will be put to the various Nordplus Programme Committees for decision. Due to unfortunate technical problems with the Application- and Reporting System (ARS), we are not able to notify all applicants on the results before 21 July.

Bullying
Bullying is one of the biggest problems amongst young people. Adults sometimes don’t pay attention to it, and they often dismiss children with a simple “they have to learn how to cope”. Unfortunately, bullying can drive a young soul to suicide.

The Nordplus Framework 2008-2011 has been launched and received with great interest especially in the Baltic region. But how the administrators from countries in the Baltic region feel about it and what do they expect the growing interest will bring?
Winds of change
The new wind of The Nordplus Programme blows from the Baltic region. Participation of the tree Baltic countries and a new framework was launched nationally in Norway at the Nordplus Conference in Oslo January 28.
Nordic-Russian cooperation in education and research
The Nordic Council of Ministers is working to establish a joint Nordic-Russian programme in education and research. In order to prepare for the planned programme, the Nordic council of Ministers will fund preparatory actions in 2008.
Closing date for submission of applications is 15 March 2008.
Imprisoning art
E-building was the name of an empty prison building, part of Bjørgvin prison in Bergen, seemingly without any potential. 1 500 square meters of raw concrete that nobody knew what to do with became a dream space for 25 art students from Norway, Denmark and Iceland.
National information events
Each of the eight participating countries in the Nordplus Framework Programme will arrange national information events presenting the possibilities in the new programme.
The events will take place during the autumn of 2007 and winter 2008, and will give essential information for potential participants in the Nordplus Framework Programme.
The national Nordplus offices are responsible for providing information in their own country.
