Under the Nordplus Adult Learning Programme 105 applications have been submitted. The interest for Nordplus Adult was clearly increased due to the new possibilities of the Nordplus Framework Programme and Nordic-Baltic cooperation is clearly relevant for many players within the field of adult education.
The circle of this round’s applicants reflects the big variety of players within the field of adult education. Traditional adult education institutions, such as adult education centres, folk high schools etc., as well as companies, research institutions and others are represented amongst the applicants and partners.
Looking at the coordinating organisations, applicants from Finland and Sweden are as in previous years still the most active in Nordplus followed by Denmark and then Lithuania and Estonia.
Applicants are mainly interested in the following topics: validation; development of skills and competencies of staff; second language teaching, integration, socio-cultural skills; cultural heritage, handicraft; consumer education, as well as climate and environment.
