Nordplus Higher Education turns 20 years in 2008 and is making headway. Throughout the period, impressive 565 million DKK has been allocated through the programme.
The programme, which now is an integrated part of the Nordplus Framework Programme, was established in 1988, and since then 30 000 students have taken part in the programme. Cooperation within education has had a central role on the Nordic Council of Minister’s agenda during the past 20 years, and has contributed to strengthen the relation between the neighboring countries.
It becomes clear that the programme is popular when looking at the statistics. The trend shows a continuous increase in the number of participating students as well as teachers since the programme was launched. Another indication of the popularity of the celebrating programme is the sum of allocated funds. From 1988 to 2007, approximately 565 million DKK benefited the participants through Nordplus Higher Education.
The applicants who will receive financial support through the 2008 application round for Nordplus Higher Education will be contacted in October.
