Welcome to the new Nordplusonline

Nordplusonline.org has been relaunched. Read about the new look, the revised structure and what you can expect from the changes to the website

The nordplusonline site is the place to visit if you want to be involved in education and study culture across the Nordic and Baltic region. The webpage has been designed with the purpose of letting you find educational projects and enterprise partners in the North and the Baltics; and to let you and your partners apply for the funding to joint, nordic projects within the field of education.

The new version of the web page comes with a revised structure and new sections in order to ensure that you get the right kind of guidance and documentation to get you started. Additionally articles and project descriptions have been given a more pronounced role, to let you find inspiration for your work and projects.

Expectations for the new nordplusonline

The changes on the site are based on user testing, interviews and analysis of previous versions of the website. With the assistance design agency, Haltenbanken AS og the software firm, NXC, Nordplus has strived toward a more simple, transparent and user friendly site. As an example, important tools such as Espresso, the Nordplus guide and Partner Search has now been given more distinct places in the overall web design.

The new site is user centric and segmented, which will make it easier for users to find the information they are looking for. For example, users already committed and actively working on a project now have their own project resource access point.

Dissemination of results has been given a central place on the web page by emphasizing project articles and the project database. This will expose the results of Nordplus in a new and more direct way and will convey and inspire future users to new and even more ambitious projects.

Visually the design agency, Halten banken, has given our new digital mansion a fresh, modern and more elegant look. The look is rooted in the Nordplus brand identity and makes use of  existing elements from photos and the Nordplus design handbook.

Importantly our new site is made with a responsive design, that adapts itself to the screen size of any digital unit you might access it through. This is a huge improvement seeing that the old way of viewing a webpage sitting behind a desk, gradually is replaced by people accessing the web through mobile devices.

In the hands of Danes

SIU, Senter for internasjonalisering av utdanning (NO), has been responsible for the nordplusonline.org since 2008. The site and the effort required to launch it in a new version is very much the work of SIU.
From March 1, 2014 the development and management of the website is transferred to the Danish Agency of Higher Education as part of the assignment as Chief Coordinator of the Nordplus programme.
