How can we strengthen understanding amongst the Nordic Languages?

Nordic languages was the focal point of a conference held in Hveragerði on 18 – 20 September, organised by Nordplus, the Nordic Council of Minsters‘ programme in the area of lifelong learning.

Representatives from various Nordic language schools and centres as well as those that focus on research and promotion of minority languages in the Nordic countries have come together with the goal of working towards cooperation on future projects across Nordic and Baltic borders.

Application for Nordplus 2023 preparatory visits is open!

2 October 2023 is the application deadline for preparatory visits within the Nordplus Junior, Nordplus Adult and Nordplus Nordic Languages programmes.

The main goal of a preparatory visit is to make concrete plans for a project in order to submit a full application before the programme’s next deadline of 1st February 2024.

The focus will be on preparatory visits. Three of our sub-programmes offer the possibility of applying for a preparatory visits.

It is time again. Let´s Talk about Nordplus

Last year we started this campaign, called Let´s talk about Nordplus. For a week in the end of April, we shared information about the Nordplus programme, about the five sub-programmes and we also shared project stories from project managers, teachers, students and other, working with Nordplus projects.

So get ready to talk more about Nordplus. This time around it will start on 24 April – 1 May 2023.

Now it is possible to apply for funding for projects involving official minority languages in the Nordic Region in Nordplus Nordic Languages

The Nordplus Nordic Languages Programme is one of Nordplus five sub-programs.

It is a special programme with the main goal of it being to promote Nordic Languages and culture, inter-Nordic language comprehension, as well as mutual Nordic-Baltic linguistic and cultural understanding.

The Nordplus programme of the Nordic Council of Ministers invites Nordic and Baltic institutions and organisations working with or involved in education and training to apply for funding in the application round of 2022.
