No, but you can apply for costs for travel and accommodation for people at institutions/organizations participating in the project. The programme uses unit costs to calculate travel and subsistence expenses. Please note that if the project intends to travel with pupils then you should apply for that in Nordplus Junior.

Are there demands of self-financing?

Nordplus funding is defined as a contribution to real expenses incurred in connection with the participants’ project and/or network activities. Costs that can be included in the grant and more detailed terms for using grants are defined in the Nordplus Handbook.

Nordplus Nordic Languages provides support for project management after fixed rates. Nordplus Nordic Languages can grant work hours directly related to development work in the project. This may be a curricula, IT tools, analyses, surveys, open source platforms, teaching methods, etc. e.g time invested directly in the project work. The need for the grant needs to be clearly described and well justified in the project description and it is very important to be realistic and clear on how many hours you foresee to use on each phase of the project. Please find more information in the Handbook.

May we give a fee to lecturers or salary to the project coordinator?

Persons at institutions/ organizations participating in the project cannot receive salary from the Nordplus Nordic Languages funds. However, working hours invested directly in the project can be calculated as part of the grant. For this it is very important to be realistic and clear on how many hours you foresee to use on each phase of the project. If it is necessary for the project that one buys a service, e.g. remuneration to external parties for holding a presentation, salary for technical assistance, etc., this may be covered by Nordplus in a small amount.
