Pedagogues and preschool teachers must develop children’s creativity and ability to create digital content themselves. It is a tough task, and therefore a number of universities, municipalities, folk high schools, pedagogue- and teacher educations, and preschools across all the Nordic countries have joined together.

In many countries, pupils learn a first and second foreign language at an increasingly younger age. Research shows early foreign language learning in and of itself does not lead to more nor better learning. It namely requires well-founded didactic competences to teach the youngest schoolchildren, and it is therefore important to invest in further education for teachers. A Nordplus project has now shown that it is possible to build a bridge between Nordic public schools, teacher education, further education for teachers, and university research.

The populations in the Baltic States generally wish to save energy and live greener – but only a minority knows how. A Nordplus project attempts to remedy this.

The ABS Network unites researchers, students, and all types of teachers at universities in the Nordic and Baltic countries. They work with atmosphere, biosphere, and climate change – they are not great in numbers and perhaps that is the reason why their network is of great significance
